With the proportion of women in its logistics department, ttv is far above the national average.According to investigations by the German Logistics Association (BVL) on behalf of transport logistic, the proportion of women in logistics throughout Germany is less than 28.7%. But things are very different at ttv. In the 16,500 m3 logistics centre with 1000 pallet storage spaces and an automatic small parts warehouse with around 350 pallets, a motivated team made up of 50% women is helping to change the future of the department.
The four women, all of whom are trained specialists, don’t think much of outdated traditional roles. Their top priority is to provide customers with ttv products as quickly and reliably as possible. It’s this goal that they work towards every day alongside their four male colleagues.
Managing Director Harald Nitzschke sums up the situation as follows: “Whereas politics and society tend to get bogged down in endless debates relating to the issue of gender diversity, we have successfully done something about it”.
