mechnial seals as standard and special solutions.

TTV_Gleitring_DichtungenWhen developing compressors, pumps and other equipment and machines, engineers need to prevent the escape of liquids or gases on a consistent basis. And it’s in this area where the impressive strengths of ttv mechanical seals really become clear.

Mechanical seals can only achieve their necessary sealing function and service life if important functional requirements are met. These requirements include the plane-parallelism of the sealing faces, the perpendicular positioning of the sealing faces to the rotation axis, the resilient contact between the sealing faces and a lubricating film between the two sealing faces of the mechanical seals.

The sealing effect between the mechanical seals and other components such as housings or shafts is usually created using additional seals such as O-rings and gaskets.

Mechanical seals are used in almost every type of pump. From pumps in refineries right through to garden pumps, as well as pumps in the gas industry, in dairies, breweries and the food and drink industry, and those used in nuclear power plant construction too. An overview of the benefits:

  • Mechanical seals with a shaft diameter of 10 mm to 100 mm available as standard
  • Customer-specific solutions and diameters over 100 mm available as special seals
  • All ttv mechanical seals boast a long service life and high quality

Special solutions and repair service

As well as mechanical seals in all the usual standard versions, we can also provide special parts with large dimensions as engineering solutions. Because large-format mechanical seals are very complex components, we have decided to set up a repair service for our customers.

We are currently setting up this new service, and will let you know via the usual channels as soon as we are ready for your repair orders.
