Materials such as NBR (nitrile rubber) and PA (polyamide) are used. These offer high resistance to dust, particles and other abrasive media, such as sharp-edged plastic parts that are produced when CDs or cheque cards are shredded.

In intensive practical tests, the seals were tested under realistic conditions - including permanent mechanical stress and contact with product-specific operating materials.
