Requirement

Significant improvement of the haptic experience when adjusting the ventilation system in the vehicle interior.

Result

• Increased torque on the adjustment wheel
• Fitting the plastic cardan joint at the central support point
• After multiple tests, the decision was made to use silicone - a rather unusual material for X-rings
• Technically feasible due to the low or practically non-existent rotations and the lack of a medium to be sealed

Advantage

Noticeable optimisation of the haptic properties with an economical and functional implementation.
